Mt. Sinai, NY - June 7, 2016 - On June 7th, 2016 at 11 am, Chief Roy Gross accompanied by his daughter-in-law Cara Gross, responded to a call from a management company to the Hamlet at Willow Creek. Several ducklings toppled into a storm drain and needed some help.  Both worked together to help with the recovery of 9 ducklings.  Cara, the smallest, was able to enter the storm drain. Eight of the ducklings were returned to the lake with the mother and one was transported to Selden Animal Hospital for treatment. Mother duck and her ducklings were grateful.
