Baldwin Man Arrested for Allegedly Threatening Postal Worker with Firearm

The First Squad reports the arrest of a Baldwin man for an incident that occurred on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at 11:50 am in Baldwin.
 
According to Detectives, a United States Postal Mail Carrier was delivering mail to 1413 Eva Court. A male started to yell at the mail carrier from the 2nd floor window of 785 Everett Court and pointed a black object at the victim. 
 
The victim feared the subject had pointed a handgun and fled the scene and called 911. First Precinct Officers arrived and after a thorough investigation the defendant, Dwayne White, 42, of 785 Everett Court was placed into Police custody without incident. No injuries were reported. 
 
Defendant White is charged with Menacing 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree (Ammunition Feeding Device). He will be arraigned on Friday, June 9, 2023 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
