Police Report Arrest Made in Connection with Frightening Shooting Incident in Manhasset

The Sixth Squad reports that an arrest was made today in connection with a Shooting incident that occurred on Friday, May 10, 2024 at 6:40 PM in Manhasset. 
 
According to detectives, police responded to a 911 call for shots fired in the vicinity of 65 Pond Hill Road. Upon arrival, police observed a dispensed shell casing lying on the ground.  Further investigation revealed that a male subject wearing unknown clothing was responsible for the shooting. The male subject then fled on foot in an unknown direction. There were no injuries reported. The investigation is ongoing. 
 
After a thorough investigation, Sixth Squad Detectives arrested Shaunkim Abercrombie, 34, of 49 High Court. He is charged with Attempted Assault 1st Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree and Reckless Endangerment 1st Degree. He will be arraigned on Monday, June 10, 2024 at First District Court, 99 Main Street Hempstead.
