Local skaters can drop-in to the skatepark at Manorhaven Beach Park in Port Washington on Thursday, June 17 at 2pm for a skateboarding demonstration hosted by the Town of North Hempstead.

 

According to an announcement about the event, local skaters will be demonstrating fundamental skills including how to properly stand on a skateboard and tips on how to skate safely. Representatives from Indi Surf in Manhasset and The Witches Brew will also be on hand with giveaways.

 

The skatepark at Manorhaven Beach Park, recently reopened after being closed during the pandemic. Over the winter a local teen successfully petitioned to have the skatepark reopened.
