SCPD announced that Kareem Johnson, 41, was charged with animal cruelty for starving Moxi, his pit bull.

Hauppauge, NY - June 12, 2018 - On Friday, June 8, 2018 a New York City man was charged with animal cruelty by Suffolk County SPCA detectives.
 
Kareem Johnson, 41, was charged with one (1) count of animal cruelty for failure to provide sustenance for an extended period of time to Moxi, his 1 year old male pit bull. The dog was confined in an area filled with feces and urine in a Hauppauge home.
 
Moxi was seized by the Suffolk County SPCA and transported to a local animal shelter. Johnson is scheduled to appear in First District Court in Central Islip on  August 9, 2018.
