Homeless Woman Assaults Police Officer in West Hempstead

The Fifth Squad reports the arrest of a homeless woman for Assault on an Officer that occurred on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 1:10 AM in West Hempstead.
 
According to Detectives, Officers were dispatched for a disturbance on Hempstead Turnpike near the intersection of Oakland Avenue. Upon Officer arrival, they observed defendant Angel Alexander-Adolphe, 23 and a 25-year-old male in a physical altercation. As Officers attempted to place defendant Angel Alexander-Adolphe under arrest, she physically resisted and during the process of placing her
under arrest an Officer sustained substantial pain to his left knee and leg. Defendant Angel Alexander-Adolphe was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The
injured Officer was also transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
 
After she was medically cleared, Officers transported defendant Angel Alexander-Adolphe from the hospital to the Fifth Precinct. During the transport, defendant Angel Alexander-Adolphe began to kick the Officer seated in the back with her, causing substantial pain to the Officers right hand and wrist. As Officers were attempting to restrain defendant Angel Alexander-Adolphe she continued to flail and kick, striking another Officer, causing substantial pain to his right calf and ankle.
 
Defendant Angel Alexander-Adolphe was transported back to a nearby hospital for assessment. The two injured Officers were also transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Defendant Angel Alexander-Adolphe is charged with three counts of Assault 2nd degree, Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct and two counts of Harassment 2nd
degree. She will be arraigned on Sunday, June 12, 2022 at First District Court, located at 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
