Suffolk SPCA Detectives Charge Islip Terrace Woman With Starving her Horse

The horse is now in the care of a veterinarian and on his way to a new life, officials say.

SPCA reports that Carol Diclementi of Islip Terrace, 55, was charged with animal cruelty.

Islip Terrace, NY - June 15, 2018 - On Thursday, June 14, 2018 an Islip Terrace woman was charged with animal cruelty.
 
Carol Diclementi, 55, was charged with animal cruelty for failure to provide proper sustenance to Sunny, her 19 year old horse.
 
After an anonymous complaint was filed with the SPCA, Sunny was found living in deplorable conditions and severely emaciated. The horse was surrendered to the Suffolk County SPCA and is now in the care of a veterinarian and on his way to a new life.  
 
Diclementi is scheduled to appear in First District Court in Islip on Augsut 20, 2018
