East Northport, NY - June 18, 2018 - Huntington Supervisor Chad A. Lupinacci recognized Douglas Neil Clark of Boy Scout Troop 41 during his Eagle Scout Court of Honor ceremony at the East Northport Fire Department on Saturday June 9.

At the ceremony, Supervisor Lupinacci presented a proclamation to recognize Mr. Clark’s accomplishments: “Douglas’ Eagle project demonstrates his thinking of others, wanting people to feel included when they can’t participate; he will be continuing his commitment to public service when he pursues criminal justice at Iona College this fall.”

For his Eagle project, Mr. Clark led a team to construct and install four wood benches for the new playground at Dickinson Avenue School, which he and his family had attended. Mr. Clark saw a need for a sitting area for the “Milk and Cookies” ladies and a resting spot for students sidelined by injuries, so they would feel included when they could not participate in recess activities.
