Shooting at North Bellport Party Results in One Man Killed, One Injured, Cops Say

North Bellport, NY - June 19, 2018 - Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating a shooting that killed one man and injured another in North Bellport on Sunday, June 17, 2018.
 
Fifth Precinct officers responded to a residence on Doane Avenue after a 911 caller reported a fight between guests at a party and a group of uninvited people. When police arrived, they found two men, who were guests at the party, with gunshot wounds outside of the home. The men were transported to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue where one man, James Skinner, 50, of Queens, was pronounced dead. The other man was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
