Cops: Seaford Man Arrested After Assaulting His 92 Year-Old Mother During Argument

NCPD reports the arrest of Gregory Zakaluk of Seaford, 55, for an Assault that occurred on Sunday, June 18.

Seaford, NY - June 20, 2017 - The Seventh Squad reports the arrest of a Seaford man for an Assault that occurred on Sunday, June 18, 2017 at 10:18 pm in Seaford.
 
According to detectives, the defendant Gregory Zakaluk, 55, of Seaford was involved in a verbal argument with his 92 year old mother. 
 
As the argument escalated, the victim walked out of her residence and was followed by the defendant. Zakaluk became physical with his mother and dragged her across the concrete towards the house. The victim began to scream and neighbors came to her aid.  
 
An investigation determined the victim suffered injuries and bruising to her forearms and left leg.  She was examined by a police medic and refused further care. Gregory Zakaluk was arrested without incident.
 
Defendant Zakaluk is charged with Assault 2nd degree and Endangering The Welfare of a Vulnerable Elderly Person. He was arraigned Monday, June 19, 2017 at First District Court. 
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
