Individual Fatally Struck by LIRR Train in Greenlawn, MTA Officials Say

The victim was reportedly walking across the Cuba Hill Road railroad crossing in Greenlawn when they were hit by an eastbound train.

MTA officials have confirmed that an individual was struck and killed by a Long Island Railroad train at approximately 1:20 a.m. on Tuesday.

The victim, who has yet to be identified, was reportedly walking across the Cuba Hill Road railroad crossing in Greenlawn when they were hit by an eastbound train, MTA representatives say.

Train service was delayed for two hours and was eventually restored at 3:30 a.m.

The MTA Police investigation into the incident is ongoing.
