12-Year-Old Bicyclist Airlifted to Hospital after Two-Vehicles Collide in North Bellmore, Police Say
The First Squad reports the details of a Vehicular Accident that occurred on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at 4:38 pm in North Bellmore.
According to Detectives, a 2020 Ford Econoline Van being operated by a 52-year-old male was traveling northbound on Oakfield Avenue where he was in a collision with a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee being operated by a 41-year-old female traveling eastbound on S. Shelley Road.
As a result of the collision a 12-year-old male bicyclist was struck by one of the involved vehicles.
The male juvenile was transported via Police Helicopter to Cohen Children’s Hospital where he is listed in stable condition. The female operator was transported to a local area hospital for evaluation and treatment.
The investigation is ongoing.
