The Sixth Squad is investigating a Robbery that occurred on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at 1:40 p.m. in Great Neck.
According to Detectives, a female victim, 45, was in contact with an unknown Asian male subject on the We Chat App regarding the sale of her Hermes Birkin pocketbook valued at $35,000.00 USC. The victim and the victim’s daughter, 17, agreed to meet with the unknown subject outside of 6 Bellingham Lane for the sale transaction of the pocketbook.
Upon arrival, the victim exited her vehicle to discuss the sale of the pocketbook when an unknown dark colored grey SUV arrived at the location. Three unknown male subjects wearing masks exited the vehicle and demanded the Hermes pocketbook. They then proceeded to demand the personal belongings of the female victims.
Fearing for their safety, they complied handing over miscellaneous jewelry, cellular telephones, two purses and undetermined amount of US currency. One subject did forcefully pull the 17-year-old female victim out of her vehicle to look inside for additional property and when he finished, he sprayed both victims in the face with a pepper spray.
All four subjects entered the dark colored SUV and fled southbound on Bellingham Lane towards Fairview Avenue.
The suspects are only described as two Asian males and two black males. No further description is available at this time.
The victims were transported to a local area hospital for evaluation and treatment of their injuries. The investigation is ongoing.
