AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM EDT THIS EVENING The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has issued an Air Quality Health Advisory for the following areas: All five boroughs of New York City, and Westchester, Rockland, Nassau, and Suffolk counties. Until 11 PM EDT this evening. Air quality levels in outdoor air are predicted to be greater than an Air Quality Index value of 100 for the pollutant of Ground Level Ozone. The New York State Department of Health recommends that individuals consider limiting strenuous outdoor physical activity to reduce the risk of adverse health effects. People who may be especially sensitive to the effects of elevated levels of pollutants include the very young, and those with preexisting respiratory problems such as asthma or heart disease. Those with symptoms should consider consulting their personal physician. A toll free air quality hotline has been established so New York residents can stay informed on the air quality situation. A man stole three wristlets and a backpack from a Marshalls store.

Stony Brook, NY - June 23, 2014 - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Sixth Precinct Crime Section officers are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man who stole merchandise from a Stony Brook store earlier this year.
 
A man stole three wristlets and a backpack from Marshalls, located a 2200 Nesconset Highway, on February 13, 2014, at approximately 6:20 p.m. A store employee followed the man out of the store and the suspect subsequently dropped the merchandise in the parking lot and fled in a 2005 Toyota with NY license plate FXD 4809.
 
The man was described as black, between 25 and 30 years old, approximately 5 feet, 9 inches tall with a medium build and facial hair.
 
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
