Dix Hills, NY - June 24th, 2014 - Suffolk County Police today arrested a Bay Shore couple who attempted to burglarize a home and minutes later burglarized a second home in Dix Hills this afternoon.
Second Precinct officers responded to a 911 call after a female resident of a home on Knox Place saw a suspicious man walking outside of her house at approximately 12:10 p.m. The man rang her doorbell and when she did not answer, he went to the rear of the home and threw a rock through a window. The man fled when he was confronted by the homeowner. While canvassing the neighborhood in his patrol car, Officer Ryan West heard a woman that was screaming from a home on Village Hill Drive.
