Man Killed in East Patchogue Motor Vehicle Crash, Officials Report

Suffolk County Police Fifth Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a man in East Patchogue on Saturday, June 22.
 
Tervell Turner was stopped on South Country Road facing westbound at the intersection of North Dunton Avenue when his 2012 Infinity Q56 was rear ended by a 2007 Hyundai Elantra traveling westbound at approximately 6:45 p.m.
 
The driver of the Hyundai, a 62 year-old East Patchogue man, was transported to Long Island Community Hospital in East Patchogue where he was pronounced dead. His name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
 
Turner, 51, of Mastic Beach and two adult female passengers were also transported to Long Island Community Hospital where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
 
Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to call the Fifth Squad at 631-854-8552.
