Nesconset Man Arrested in Possession of Illegal "Ghost Gun" with Laser Sight, According to Police

First Squad Detectives report the arrest of a Nesconset man for Criminal Possession of a Firearm that occurred on Sunday, June 23, 2024 at 11:33 pm in Roosevelt.
 
According to detectives, officers observed a large group standing in the street blocking vehicular traffic in front of a Hillman Place residence. During the investigation, Peyton Richards, 18, was found to be in possession of black Polymer P80 Ghost Gun with a laser light attachment and a magazine containing 23 rounds of 9mm ammunition.
 
Defendant Peyton Richards was also in possession of a second magazine containing 9 rounds of 9mm ammunition.  Defendant Peyton Richards was arrested without incident.
 
Defendant Peyton Richards is charged with Criminal Possession of a Firearm, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th degree.  He will be arraigned on Monday, June 24, 2024 at First District Court, Hempstead.
