Smithtown, NY - June 25, 2018 - Matthew Weinberg of Boy Scout Troop 125 of Commack recently completed the requirements for scouting’s highest award – the rank of Eagle Scout. For his community service project, Matthew designed and supervised the building of a portable sheep shelter for the Smithtown Historical Society. Because this shelter is moveable, it can house sheep wherever they are and protect them from the harsh weather.

Suffolk County Legislator Rob Trotta attended the Eagle Scout Court of Honor and congratulated Matthew on his great accomplishment. “Achieving the rank of Eagle Scout is not easy as it takes a great deal of time, commitment and dedication from you and the support of your family,” Legislator Trotta said to Matthew.
