Suffolk County SPCA Seeks Information on Dog Found Washed Ashore in Lobster Crate

Eaton's Neck, NY - June 26, 2014 - The Suffolk County SPCA is seeking information from the public about a dead dog found washed ashore in Eaton's Neck.
 
On Tuesday evening, the dog, a Pit Bull mix wearing a collar, was found on a beach along Old Winkle Point Drive.  The dog had been stuffed into a lobster crate  which was wired shut and weighted down with bricks.
 
Chief Roy Gross of the Suffolk County SPCA said that the SPCA is investigating this as  a case of possible animal cruelty.
