Riverhead Police report that a Mattituck man has succumbed to injuries sustained during a tragic car crash in Jamesport last week.
Jairon Canahui, 30, was involved in a crash at an intersection of Sound Avenue at approximately 1:45 a.m. on Monday, June 19, police say; he later passed away Monday morning, June 26.
The investigation is ongoing, according to Riverhead Police, although criminality is not currently suspected. Anyone with information is asked to contact Riverhead Police at 631-727-4500.
