A Port Chester resident currently out on bail in connection with a sex crime he allegedly committed in Suffolk County has been arrested again for assaulting a teenage girl in a public park in Westchester, according to authorities.
Richard A. Olmino, 21, is said to have assaulted a 16-year-old girl on Friday, June 23 at approximately 12 a.m., said a spokesperson for the City of Rye Police Department.
Reportedly the victim had been talking with Olmino before he then proceeded to tackle and assault her, officials say; a park security guard intervened and stopped the attack.
Olmino has been charged with first-degree sexual abuse in connection with the alleged assault. He is also currently out on bail for first-degree criminal sexual act purportedly committed in Suffolk County.
Olmino has being held in the Westchester County Jail with no bail. He is scheduled to return to Rye Court on Tuesday, June 27.
