The Bowl recently opened in Lynbrook and is offering up all three of the most trendy Asian food options out there on Long Island right now: Poke, Ramen and Bubble Tea. You would think that with the variety of menu items - most places are only offering one or the other - might mean they can’t possibly excel at all of them but online reviews say otherwise.
The Bowl moved into the former home of Donzi's Kitchen on Atlantic Avenue, known for its amazing crepes.
Now, The Bowl is serving up make-your-own poke bowls and ramen noodles along with a selection of bubble teas ($5.50). They also have an appetizer menu that includes edamame ($6), pork or vegetable gyoza (6pcs for $6), pork buns (4pcs for $8), shrimp shumai (6pcs for $6), and pork soup dumplings (6pcs for $8) among others.
On Yelp, Andrew B, from Oceanside, gave The Bowl five stars.
“We accidentally walked into this place looking for the old crepe spot, and were really disappointed to see they closed down. We're about to walk out when we see the proprietor of our favorite poke/sushi burrito, ramen and boba spot Sherry Blossom there so we said why not,” he wrote. “Man am I glad we did. Great combos bowls. Super fresh. Delicious boba. So glad to have a healthy and yummy spot like this so close to us. Pro tip: Order those pork buns appetizers. You'll love them.”
Nats A, from Rosedale, agreed.
“This place is awesome,” Nats wrote. “The employees are extremely kind and welcoming.”
Mary H, from Port Washington, said that The Bowl is one of her favorite lunch options.
“The food is always fresh, and the whole bowl is delicious,” she wrote.
