On Tuesday, July 2 at 12:00 pm at the US Coast Guard Station Shinnecock, Suffolk County Sheriff Errol D. Toulon, Jr. and the US Coast Guard will discuss heightened enforcement on both the roadways and waterways during the upcoming holiday weekend.  For the historically dangerous July 4th weekend, the Sheriff’s Office will be announcing enhanced DWI and BWI patrols and checkpoints to keep residents out on the roads and the water safe.

In addition, Brianna’s Law advocate Gina Costa-Lieneck and the family of Andrew McMorris, who was killed by a drunk driver in 2018, will discuss their warnings about operating a vehicle or vessel while impaired and stress the importance of having a designated driver.
