Members of the local community and Dunkin’ fans alike poured into Dunkin’s newly built next generation restaurant at 2717 Route 112 on Thursday, June 27 as part of its grand opening.

Dunkin’ franchisee Scott Campbell of Metro Franchising commemorated the occasion with a $5,000 donation to Patchogue-Medford Youth and Community Services in conjunction with the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation. Patchogue-Medford Youth and Community Services is a not-for-profit organization with a mission to enhance the quality of life for families in the local communities through outreach, education, recreation, counseling and support services.

“We are extremely grateful and appreciative for this generous donation from Scott and his partners at Metro Franchising and the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation,” said Patchogue-Medford Youth and Community Services Executive Director Samantha Wood. “Their support will make a positive impact on the families in the local community that we benefit.”

The celebration also included representatives of Congressman Andrew Garbarino from New York’s 2nd District; representatives of Councilman Neil Foley from the Town of Brookhaven’s 5th District; and a representative from the Suffolk County Police Department’s 5th Precinct, who took part in a commemorative ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The morning featured the first 50 guests in line at 9 a.m. receiving a coupon book containing four free medium hot or iced coffee coupons per month for 14 months as part of Dunkin’s Free Coffee for a Year giveaway, while many other Dunkin’ Rewards members spun the Dunkin’ prize wheel for free Dunkin’ merchandise.

The 1,500-square-foot Dunkin’ employs 15 crew members and is open daily from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.
