The Homicide Squad reports the details of a fatal aided that occurred on Thursday, July 4, 2024 at 3:55 PM in East Meadow.
According to detectives, officers responded to a residence on 2nd Avenue for a 7-year-old male child who was not breathing from an apparent drowning accident in a swimming pool. When officers arrived, the aided was already removed from the pool and CPR was being administered. The aided was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced deceased by a physician.
The investigation is ongoing.
