West Hempstead, NY - July 6th, 2015 - The Fourth Squad is investigating a Robbery that occurred on Sunday, July 05, 2015 at 2:10 am in West Hempstead.
According to detectives, two 19 year old male victims were driving on Hempstead Turnpike, Uniondale when an unknown silver four door sedan driven by an unknown male black (no further description), cut them off and started yelling through the window. The victim continued to drive, but the unknown subject followed. The victim was forced to pull over on Hempstead Turnpike and Stratford Road.
Both drivers exited their automobiles. The subject continued to yell and then punched the victim several times about the face. A second unknown male black subject (no further description) exited the silver sedan and walked over to the victims’ vehicle where the second victim was still seated, displayed a handgun and demanded money and property. The victims complied with 2 I-phones, credit cards and an undetermined amount of US currency.
The subjects then fled the scene in an unknown direction. The victim (driver) proceeded to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries. The second victim (passenger) was not injured.
