Hempstead, NY - July 6, 2016 - EAC Network has partnered with Love Law Firm, PLLC to campaign for a large donation of essential items for Long Island children in foster care within the social service agency’s programs.
Many children in foster care often travel with what little they have in garbage bags. Love Law Firm, PLLC is asking for donations of duffel bags, toiletries, clothes, games, and toys to ease the burden of these children and offer them a sense of stability. All donations will benefit the children in EAC Network’s foster care programs, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) and Chance to Advance, which provide children with mentors, extracurricular activities, a summer camp, and permanent homes.
“Caring about children in foster care is personal for me: two of my nieces were adopted from the system. They are both amazing young women who have so much to offer our family and the world,” said Francine E. Love, Principal of Love Law Firm, PLLC. “This drive is just one way of letting other children currently in foster care know that there are so many people who care about them; they too are valuable. These bags are a tangible reminder that these children, and their possessions, are not disposable. And the bags contain a few comforts and necessities of home while they are away.”
