Massapequa, NY – July 10, 2013 – Environ Vision Designs Studio 5404 Gallery will hold its first juried art show this September 6, 2013. Titled A Brush with Sandy, all artists in the New York Metropolitan area and Long Island affected by Superstorm Sandy are invited to submit an original artwork that was created as a result of experiences from the storm. All mediums are welcome: 2-D and 3-D works as well as installations and performance pieces. Submissions will be juried for acceptance into the show. Deadline for entries is August 23. Proceeds from artworks sold can be donated by the artist to benefit Sandy relief, raising awareness to rebuild the community and strengthen the arts.

Environ Vision Designs was established in 1989 by owner Lori Horowitz, an artist and professional designer, member of United Scenic Artists Union, and a founding member of the Long Island Professional Sculptors and Supporters (L.I.P.S.S). The company is a complete design and fabrication service specializing in fine art, custom indoor/outdoor sculptures, paintings, architectural elements, display, scenery, models and restorations.
Studio 5404 is a gallery/art space established in June 2013 and sponsored by Environ Vision Designs owner and director Lori Horowitz. A pending not for profit organization, Studio 5404 provides under-represented and emerging artists with the opportunity to show, learn and share their art with the public. The mission of the gallery is to enrich the South Shore communities of Nassau and Suffolk Counties of Long Island, NY, by promoting cultural arts in all forms include painting, sculpture, music, film, poetry and performing art. The gallery’s goal is to create a thriving artists’ space to share and explore artistic expression, ideas and creativity. Lectures, educational seminars, showcases, and round tables will be offered to the community.
