Which Public Pools Are Open on Long Island

The pandemic has prevented many public pools from opening across the region.

The dog days of summer are approaching. Here is the current list of public pools that are open across Long Island.

 

Town of North Hempstead - Town pool facilities will be open beginning July 8 for the summer season. For the 2020 summer season, the Town will be waiving all fees for pool facilities. More info here.

Town of Hempstead - Before going, read the rules and regulations.

 

  • Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Levittown Pool District will be operating on a week-by-week basis
  • Slate Lane Pool
  • Wolcott Road Pool
  • Azalea Lane Pool
  • West Village Green Pool
  • Parkway Pool
  • The Oceanside and Sands pools will not be opening as of July 3 as scheduled due to maintenance work being conducted.

 

Town of Islip

 

  • All public pools still closed

 

Town of Brookhaven

 

  • Holtsville Pool will open for the season on Monday, July 13. Bring your own chairs – lounge chairs will NOT be provided
  • The Centereach Pool and Mastic Aquatic Center will remain closed for the season

 

Town of Huntington

Town of Babylon

 

  • The Babylon Town Board has announced that the town’s five pool and three spray park facilities will remain closed for the summer of 2020 due to concerns about COVID-19. More information here.
