Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck By Three Motor Vehicles on Sunrise Highway

Suffolk County Police Fifth Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a pedestrian in Sayville early this morning.

A man was in the roadway of eastbound Sunrise Highway Service Road, west of Lincoln Avenue, when he was struck by three motor vehicles at approximately 12:25 a.m. The man was first struck by a 2010 Toyota Camry, followed by a 2018 Toyota RAV 4 and then by a 1998 Chevrolet pickup truck.

The victim, who has not yet been identified by police, was transported to Long Island Community Hospital in Patchogue where he was pronounced dead. 

The three vehicles were impounded for safety checks. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact the Fifth Squad at 631-854-8552.
