Long Island, NY - July 14, 2015 - If you’re planning to see the Foo Fighters perform this week at Citi Field, then the Long Island Rail Road is the way to get there.
One of the great American rock bands of the last two decades, the Foo Fighters will be in concert at the home of the New York Mets tomorrow, Wednesday, July 15 and again Thursday, July 16.
The LIRR will be running the service we normally provide for a Mets weeknight 7:10 PM game, along with some additional post-concert service. Trains will be operating every half-hour to Mets-Willets Point station to get folks to the show as well as back home afterwards. From Penn Station, the Railroad can get you to Citi Field via the Port Washington Branch’s Mets-Willets Point Station in about 20 minutes.
Four of the Foo Fighters eight albums have won Grammy Awards for Best Rock Album. The LIRR says the best way to hear their hits, including those from their latest release, “Sonic Highways,” is to take the train.
