Huntington Station, NY - July 19, 2015 - Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives are investigating a shooting that occurred in Huntington Station last night.
Second Precinct police officers responded to 66 11th Avenue after a 911 caller reported a shooting at 8:15 p.m. When officers arrived, they discovered Luis Hernandez lying in the street with a gunshot wound to his leg.
An investigation by Second Squad detectives revealed that Hernandez was shot by an unknown person while he was standing in the street in front of the house. Hernandez, 21, of Huntington Station, was transported to Huntington Hospital where he was listed in stable condition.
