Montauk Film Festival, July 21-31 (Various Locations)

The 3rd Annual Montauk Film Festival aims to showcase projects to inspire an awareness about our local environment through themes of athleticism, humanity, and sustainability. The festival kicks of at Surf Lodge on July 21 and is followed by screenings at various Montauk locations throughout the next week and a half until the awards ceremony on July 31 at Montauk Lighthouse Cafe. Tickets are available here

Monday Night Concerts on the Green, Mondays from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in July and from 6-8 p.m. in August (Town Green)

Bring your blankets and chairs, and even your dinner and enjoy the free music at the Gazebo. From 6:30-8:30 p.m. in June and July and 6-8 p.m. in August, tune in to Montauk’s summer soundtrack including The Realm, Joe Delia, and many more. Concert-goers are welcome to bring blankets and lawn chairs

Annual Lighthouse Benefit Concert: The Wallflowers, August 13 (Montauk Point Lighthouse)

Experience a concert you’ll never forget at the Montauk Lighthouse’s amazing natural amphitheatre for a glorious outdoor concert featuring The Wallflowers with opening act Jessica Lynn! Bring beach chairs and blankets, and rock out as you enjoy the sunset and moonrise over the Block Island Sound and the Atlantic Ocean. Food trucks, beer, wine, and other refreshments will be available. Proceeds will help the Montauk Historical Society to fund programming and maintain our beautiful lighthouse.

Of course, there is no shortage of activities for locals and visitors to indulge in during a summer in Montauk. Whether its perusing the local vendors at the Thursday Montauk Farmers Market on the Green, brunching at the newly reopened Bird on the Roof, hiking through Hither Hills, lounging on the beach, or spending the summer searching for the best happy hour or sunset view– there is always something to do!
