Police: Dirt Bike Operator Tragically Killed in East Patchogue Motor Vehicle Crash

Moran Contreras, 31, of East Patchogue, was transported to Long Island Community Hospital in Patchogue where he was pronounced dead.

Suffolk County Police Fifth Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a dirt bike operator in East Patchogue on Thursday, July 18.
 
Noe Moran Contreras was operating a dirt bike on Americus Avenue, south of Brookhaven Avenue, when he lost control of the dirt bike that struck a pole at 8:08 p.m.
 
Moran Contreras, 31, of East Patchogue, was transported to Long Island Community Hospital in Patchogue where he was pronounced dead.
 
The dirt bike was impounded for a safety check. Anyone with information is asked to call the Fifth Squad at 631-854-8552.
