TRAVEL ADVISORY: Overnight Closures on Westbound Sunrise Highway (State Route 27) in the Town of Babylon, Suffolk County

The New York State Department of Transportation is advising motorists of the following overnight closures on westbound Sunrise Highway (State Route 27) in the Town of Babylon, Suffolk County, weather permitting, to facilitate a bridge cleaning project:

  • Monday, July 22, Tuesday, July 23, and Wednesday, July 24 between Exit 40 (State Route 231) and Exit 39 (Hubbards Path) beginning at 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning.
  • Thursday, July 25 and Friday, July 26 between Exit 38 (Little East Neck Road/Belmont Avenue) and Exit 37 (State Route 109) beginning at 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning.

Vehicles will be detoured onto North Service Road during these closures.
