Suffolk Authorities Report Man Killed in East Patchogue Vehicle Crash

A man was driving northbound on Sills Road when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree, officials say.

East Patchogue, NY - July 20, 2018 - Suffolk County Police Fifth Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a man in East Patchogue on Friday, July 20, 2018.
 
An adult male was driving a Dodge Challenger northbound on Sills Road, near Hospital Road, when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree at approximately 12:05 a.m.
 
The man was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner. His name is being withheld pending verification of identity.
 
The vehicle was impounded for a safety check. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call the Fifth Squad at 631-854-8552 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
