The Missing Persons Squad are investigating two separate cases of missing juveniles. One for Kayla Moore, 15, of Roosevelt, and the other for Wanya Canty, 15, of Syosset.

Update - August 9, 2016 - The Missing Persons Squad reports the listed missing juvenile; Kayla Moore has been located and returned home on Tuesday, August 9, 2016.

No further update has been provided on Wanya Canty, 15, of Syosset, missing since July 13, 2016.

Roosevelt / Syosset, NY - July 20, 2016 - The Missing Persons Squad are investigating two separate cases of missing juveniles. One for Kayla Moore, 15, of Roosevelt, and the other for Wanya Canty, 15, of Syosset.

The Missing Persons Squad reports Kayla Moore went missing on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at 10:00 pm in Roosevelt. According to detectives, Kayla Moore, 15, a black female was last seen leaving her Roosevelt residence at 10:00 pm and is believed to be in the Brentwood area of Suffolk County.

The Missing Persons Squad reports Wanya Canty went missing on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at 4:00 pm in Syosset. According to detectives, Wanya Canty, 15, a black female, 5’2” tall and 130 lbs., was last seen leaving the Mercy First facility at 4:00 pm.

Detectives request anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Wanya to call Missing Persons Squad at (516) 573-7347 or 911.
