Brookhaven Sections of LI Expressway to Close for Two Nights for Bridge Maintenance
A section of the Long Island Expressway running through the Town of Brookhaven is slated to be closed for two nights in a row for a bridge maintenance project, New York State Department of Transportation officials say, who encourage residents to adjust their travel plans accordingly.
The Long Island Expressway will be closed in both directions at the Horse Block Road exit (Exit 65) from 10 p.m. Monday, July 24. to 6 a.m. Tuesday, July 25.
Motorists will be detoured onto nearby service roads while the work is ongoing.
