Nassau County Legislature Deputy Minority Leader Arnold W. Drucker (D – Plainview) recently partnered with the Nassau County Police Department’s Office of Community Affairs and Nassau County’s Department of Traffic Safety to provide free Child Car Seat Safety Checks at the Syosset Public Library.

Certified technicians applied their expertise toward ensuring that car seats are properly installed– and officials said that every family who had their car seats check needed to have them reinstalled for optimal safety and protection.

“The outcome of this child car seat safety event showed exactly why opportunities like these are so incredibly important for our most precious cargo,” Deputy Minority Leader Drucker said. “I am so thankful to the Nassau County Police Department, the Department of Traffic Safety and the Syosset Public Library for working with us, and I encourage everyone who regularly has the privilege of transporting a youngster like I do to get their car seats checked as soon as possible.”
