Calverton Woman Busted for Drugged Driving After Found Asleep at the Wheel, According to Police
On Monday, July 22, 2024, at about 11:52PM, Southampton Town Police Communications Division received a call of a subject sleeping behind the wheel of a running vehicle in the area of Flanders Rd and Oak Ave in Flanders, NY.
An investigation revealed that the driver had been operating the motor vehicle while her ability was impaired by drugs.
Consequently, Marcia Lynn Ekster, 43 years of age, of Calverton, New York was arrested and charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs. Ekster was processed at Southampton Town Police Headquarters and held for morning arraignment.
