Samanea New York, the new retail, entertainment and dining destination located at 1500 Old Country Road in Westbury, New York, recently celebrated the grand opening of Empire Adventure Park, a first-to-market trampoline and active entertainment venue. NYS Senator Kevin Thomas, the Nassau County Comptroller, Legislator Siela A. Bynoe, Town of North Hempstead Supervisor Jennifer DeSena, and representatives from the local Chambers of Commerce joined Matthew Mullen, owner of Empire Adventure Park, and Dominic Coluccio, Head of Real Estate for Samanea New York, to cut the ceremonial grand opening ribbon.

Empire Adventure Park will be the first new entertainment anchor tenant on the second floor of Samanea New York in more than 25 years. Formerly the Mall at the Source, Samanea New York has undergone a $30M redevelopment and revitalization project over the past five years to successfully transform the property to become a highly touted one-of-a-kind lifestyle destination in Nassau County with unique dining and first-to-Long Island entertainment venues. Samanea New York currently has a 78% occupancy rate.

“Empire Adventure Park has been many years in the making, and I am proud to officially be open for business. I would like to thank everyone who helped make it a reality as well as those who joined us to celebrate,” said Mullen. “As a lifelong Long Islander and entrepreneur, I had big dreams of what Empire Adventure Park would look like and offer to the community. Finding a space big enough to accommodate what I had in mind was no easy task, but I was driving by Samanea one day and knew it was the perfect location. As the newest entertainment destination on Long Island, drawing visitors for a unique and exciting time out, Samanea has already proven to be the perfect home for Empire. We invite everyone to come and join us for some fun!”

“This is such an exciting time for us at Samanea New York with many new venues opening their doors. Our team is proud of the work being done to revitalize this once iconic property to be a unique lifestyle destination that not only offers a variety of options to entertain, dine, and shop, but also creates jobs and economic benefits,” said Coluccio. “We are thrilled to welcome Empire Adventure Park to Samanea’s one-of-a-kind tenant roster. It is a beautiful new, first of its kind, entertainment venue offering fun for all guests, and we look forward to a long successful partnership.”

Empire Adventure Park combines fitness and entertainment to create the ultimate fun experience for guests of all ages and abilities. With 35,000+ square feet of event space, Empire Adventure Park features 17 attractions including: Ninja Courses, Trampolines, Climbing Walls, Laser Tag, Virtual Reality Arenas, Augmented Reality Games, Glide Rail Ziplining, an Indoor Playground for the younger jumpers and many more. Trained staff will always supervise the play areas to ensure safe active entertainment.

Parents can relax in the Empire Cafe with free Wi-Fi, comfortable seating, and a variety of food and drink options. Adult guests can also enjoy a new, revolutionary self-service bar. Staff will check a guest’s ID, then provide a RFID card that can be used to purchase a beverage using the eight tap self-pour “bar” technology offering four beers, two wines, and two cocktails.

“Empire Adventure Park will be the first active entertainment destination with a focus on positively impacting the local community through inclusivity,” added Mullen. “Monday and Tuesday nights will offer a sensory session when lights and the music are turned down. Friday and Saturday nights will have a dance or glow party. We will have special toddler time as well as fitness classes. There really is something for everyone to come down and have a blast!”
