Southampton, NY - July 26, 2015 - On July 26, 2015 at approximately 12:50 AM the State Police in Riverside arrested Jose M. Lopez 31 of Riverhead, NY for Leandra's Law - Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Subsequent to a vehicle and traffic law stop on County Route 104 in the Town of Southampton, Lopez was found to be intoxicated by alcohol. Further investigation by State Police members revealed that Lopez's passenger was his 14 year old daughter. Lopez was placed under arrest without incident and processed at NYSP Riverside. Lopez was transported to Suffolk County Jail where he was held for arraignment on July 26, 2015 at 9:00 AM in the Town of Southampton Court.
