Suffolk Sheriff to Hold National Night Out Event with Town of Brookhaven

Thousands of people expected to attend large East End event to promote unity between law enforcement and the community.

Suffolk County Sheriff Errol D. Toulon, Jr. and the Town of Brookhaven will be holding the largest east end National Night Out event on Tuesday, August 6 from 5pm to 8pm at Fireman’s Memorial Park in Ridge. The event, which generally draws more than 2,000 residents, will include a DJ, interactive games, Starbucks coffee, a petting zoo and dozens of non-profit and government partners offering free giveaways. 

In addition:

  • Softball games between Suffolk Corrections, Suffolk Deputies, AME, and Town of Brookhaven.
  • Bingo with prizes
  • Free ice cream truck
  • Ridge FD will be offering BBQ and demonstrations.
  • Suffolk Sheriff vehicles will be on display
  • Tug-o-War
  • Starbucks coffee and treats
  • Face Painting
  • Dunk Tank
  • Petting Zoo
  • NY Islanders Inflatable Rink
  • Former Super Bowl Champion with the Green Bay Packers Gary Brown

DATE/TIME: Tuesday, August 6 from 5pm – 8pm

VISUALS: Games and giveaways, live DJ, free ice cream, touch-a-truck, Ridge FD demonstrations, dancing, bingo, law enforcement softball games, expected attendance of 2,000-2,500.
