Former Pizza Employee Returns with Knife Demanding Money

The Sixth Squad reports the arrest of a Little Neck man for an incident that occurred on Monday, August 1, 2022 at 11:55 a.m. in Great Neck Plaza.
 
According to Detectives, Frank Prestia, 26, of 25401 Pembroke Avenoe in Little Neck, is a former employee of a pizzeria in the Great Neck Plaza area. Defendant Prestia was aware that he is not allowed back on the property due to past incidents.
 
Defendant Prestia arrived at the pizzeria and began threatening other employees with a knife while demanding money. The manager was able to detain the defendant
until Police arrived. Defendant Prestia was arrested and there were no injuries reported.
 
Defendant Prestia is charged with Burglary in the 2nd Degree, Menacing in the 2nd Degree, Attempted Robbery in the 1st Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in
the 4th Degree, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd Degree. He will be arraigned on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at First District Court, 99 Main Street in Hempstead.
