UPDATE (8/2 12:42 p.m.): The below deceased victim has been identified as Tyrone Williams, 23, of Baldwin. 
 
Homicide Squad Detectives report the arrest of Kyzer Langley, 20, of 50 Fremont Street, Bridgeport, Connecticut. He is charged with Murder 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree. He will be arraigned on Friday, August 2, 2024 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.

The Homicide Squad reports the details of a shooting that occurred on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at 2:00 AM in Freeport.
 
According to Detectives, Freeport Police responded to a shot spotter activation in the vicinity of W. Seaman Avenue. Upon arrival, Officers discovered a 23-year-old male who had sustained a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced by a hospital physician. 
 
The investigation is ongoing.
