Nassau County, NY - August 4, 2015 - County Executive Edward P. Mangano and Acting Police Commissioner Thomas C. Krumpter announced today that the Nassau County Police Department will be participating in the “32nd Annual National Night Out” a unique crime/drug prevention event on Tuesday August 4, 2015.
NATIONAL NIGHT OUT is designed to:
- Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness;
- Generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime programs;
- Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships
- Send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
