New Hyde Park, NY - August 5th, 2014 - The Third Squad reports the details of an arrest for Burglary that occurred on July 24, 2014 in New Hyde Park.
According to detectives, on August 3, 2014, Third Precinct police officers received a call for a suspicious male walking eastbound on Brooklyn Avenue towards Lakeville Road. Officers did observe a male fitting the description of the above walking south on Jericho Turnpike and South 9th Street. After stopping the subject and conducting an investigation it was determined that the subject had committed two burglaries that occurred on July 24, 2014 at a North 7th Street home and a Lowell Avenue home. Proceeds were assorted jewelry. Detectives placed Dinesh Singh, 31, of Hillside Boulevard, New Hyde Park under arrest without incident.
The defendant is being charged with 2 counts of Burglary 2nd Degree. He will be arraigned on August 5, 2014 at First District Court, Hempstead.
