Police Arrest Man for Throwing Bricks at 25 Vehicles in East Meadow

Detectives report the arrest of an East Meadow man for Criminal Mischief that occurred on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at 8:20 am in East Meadow.

First Squad Detectives report the arrest of an East Meadow man for Criminal Mischief that occurred on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at 8:20 am in East Meadow.
 
According to detectives, officers responded for a 911 call for a male throwing a brick through car windows. Upon arrival, a witness notified police the male subject was walking  northbound on East Meadow Avenue and was throwing an object at numerous car windows.
 
Officers stopped the subject a short time later in the vicinity of Cambridge Street and Prospect Avenue. Tejinder Singh, 28, of 220 Saint Johns Place, was arrested without incident.
 
During the investigation it was determined that Singh was responsible for damaging twenty-five (25) vehicles. It was revealed that Singh was responsible for a similar incident on August 1 st and August 2 nd where a single vehicle was damaged each day.
 
Defendant Singh is charged with Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree and twenty-seven (27) counts of Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree. He will be arraigned on Friday, August 5, 2022 at First District Court, Hempstead.
