On Tuesday, August 6th, 2024, Rep. Nick LaLota (R-Suffolk County) will host a press conference announcing the $1.38+ Million he secured for the Town of Smithtown for flood mitigation infrastructure through the Fiscal Year 2024 appropriations process.

LaLota will be joined by Smithtown Supervisor Ed Wehrheim, local officials, and small business owners. Following the press conference, LaLota will tour facilities and local businesses that have experienced damage from flooding and would benefit from improved flood mitigation infrastructure.
