Are you ready for some football? Sure, we’re in the middle of a heatwave but football is right around the corner (as well as pumpkin spiced coffee and candle memes).

 

New York Giants

The Giants start preseason this week with a game against the New England Patriots. Last season the football Giants posted a miserable 4-13 record and coach Jope Judge was fired after just two seasons. In the off-season the Giants quickly replaced Judge with Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Brian Daboll.

 

Game time: Thursday, August 11, 7pm

New York Jets

The Jets will take on the Philadelphia Eagles on Friday at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. The Jets also went 4-13 in 2021. (It’s not a good time for football fans around these parts.) Rookie Zach Wilson was replaced by the Eagles’ Joe Flacco early in the season last year. The two will work together this season. It’s yet to be seen in what capacity. The buzz is that Flaco is starter-worthy as well as willing to act as mentor to Wilson in the upcoming season.
